Amy has completed her studies of undergraduate chemistry at the University of Bristol in June 2020. During her masters research project Amy studied the biosynthesis of the polyketide antibiotic mupirocin under the supervision of Prof. Matt Crump. After this, Amy has decided to conduct an SWBio DTP-funded PhD project in the Crump lab with industrial partner UCB Pharma. Amy’s PhD project is focussing on NMR studies of alpha-synuclein – an important protien accociated with Parkinsons Disease and certain forms of Dementia.
