There is a fully funded (fees plus stipend) studentship available in the Crump group in the area of Natural Product Biosynthesis, Enzymology and NMR.

More specifically This interdisciplinary PhD project will address this using our powerful new ¹³C selective labelling based multi-dimensional NMR assay that can monitor complex enzyme cascades in vitro in real-time at atomic resolution. Using ¹³C labelled substrates, purified enzymes and state-of-the-art NMR. This will be used to investigate important chemical assembly steps in elected natural products including anti-tumour compounds and anti-MRSA antibiotics.
