Renan is a visiting Ph.D. student from the University of São Paulo in São Paulo, Brazil, working under the supervision of Prof. Matt Crump. His research focuses on investigating the structural properties of Butirosin‑related enzymes using X‑ray crystallography and NMR. During his time in the group, he will perform structural calculations on a unique PCP involved in this biosynthetic pathway and apply cross‑linking strategies to explore the conformational changes driven by enzyme interactions. In his free time, he enjoys watching films and visiting museums.
